Khandvi, Khaman Dhokla, Chilli Paneer, Gobi 65, Gaura Pakora, Amli (Tamarind) Chutney, Mint & Coriander Chutney
Elevenses : a short break for light refreshments usually with tea or coffee, taken at about 11am. This class is exactly that! Everyone needs a few dishes that can be whipped up with just a moments notice. Whether it be because you have guests coming or whether the mid morning hunger pangs have just hit hard - this selection of fast food dishes will be sure to hit the spot.
All of these savoury dishes are quick and easy to make and the recipes provided will make it easy to recreate these at home at a fraction of the price of the restaurants. Khandvi (aka patudi) are tightly rolled bite sized soft canapes - many people love them but few can make them, khaman dhokla are vegan spongey savoury cakes which are further enhanced with the tasty chutneys, chilli paneer is a famous tangy crowd pleaser made with indian cheese. Gobi 65 is our signature dish and is cauliflower living its best life dipped in a batter and deep fried and Gaura Pakora is my mums signature dish when guests come! Gaura means golden - these crispy golden balls are pillowy inside and can be made in a flash with store cupboard ingredients, perfect for last minute munchies.
This class is demonstrated in groups of 4-5 people. If you would prefer an individual hands-on lesson where you get to cook all of the dishes, have a look at our 1-2-1 classes.
